Hair Color Care
1.Don't wash your hair the day you hair color it. Allow your scalp's natural oils to build up for a day but only for a day. This will protect your scalp from irritation. But do wash it the day before as hair that is too dirty will interfere with he hair color attaching to the hair shaft.
2. Do not wash your hair for 3 days to keep the hair color on your hair, not down the drain.
3. Use a sulfate free shampoo made for hair color treated hair. Normal shampoos can be too harsh & wash out the color.
4. Use cool water in the shower. Colorists swear that hot water fades shades, while cool keeps hair color in place.
5. Too much dryer heat can cause hair color to oxidize, turning brassy and dull. Blow-dry as little as you can. Try to air dry a little first, but never go to bed with a wet head.
6. Protect your locks from the sun. The sun's rays can also oxidize hair color. Protect your hair with leave-in conditioner for hair before going outside.
7. Condition religiously. Because hair hair color is a chemical, it can compromise the integrity of your hair. Conditioning can keep strands pliable and break-resistant.
8. Choose the right shade. Reds are notorious for fading the quickest; if you are concerned about fading, go for a brown or blond shade.
9. Touch up regularly. Semi- and demi-permanent colors need retouching every six to eight weeks; permanent colors need touch ups every four to six weeks; and double process blond needs a touch up every two to four weeks.
10. Trim regularly. Fried, straggly ends make hair hair colorlook dull and dingy. Get a trim at least once every two months to avoid this.

Keratin Treatments Care
There are stringent rules for the after-care of a Brazilian hair straightening treatment.
Hair must not be washed, wetted, or tied back in any way for at least four full days. Nor can any hair products be used. If the hair kinks during that time, use a flat iron to smooth it.
Wash hair less frequently to maintain the look longer. Remember, this is a temporary, washout treatment. Use only suphate free shampoo only.
Swimming in chlorinated pools or salt water, and excessive sun exposure will diminish the life span of the treatment.
It is better to have your hair cut after the treatment, rather than before (your stylist should know this).

Subsequent Treatments - If you choose to have Brazilian hair straightening done again after it is washed out, the treatment will be applied throughout all hair again and processed the same way as the first treatment. Traditional hair straightener's permanently re-form the bonds of the hair, so subsequent treatments are done on the re growth, which can make for disastrous results if not applied carefully. Overlapping can cause severe breakage throughout the hair. There is no danger of that happening with Brazilian hair straightening.
